I like neon signs in glass tubes. Neon signs are appealing because they not only provide visual information but also light up spaces with their colorful glow. They're made by bending glass pipes and filling them with gas, which creates a smoother glow than harsh LED signs. With fewer craftsmen today, I believe neon signs also have value as glass art.

ガラス管のネオンサインが好きだ。ネオンサインは視覚的な情報でもありながら、光の色で空間を彩って照明としても機能するところが魅力だと思っている。職人によって曲げられたガラスのパイプに注入されたガスが発光してできるその光は、LEDのサインよりも柔らかくトゲがない。職人が減った今、ガラス工芸品としての価値もあるように思う。
