Found a perfect full moon mångata in Bali.

Swedish has the lovely word "mångata", which means road-like reflection of moonlight on water.

The mångata looks like a road because of the way light is reflected and refracted by the water surface. This creates a strip of light that looks like a road leading to the moon.

Mångata is always simmering because the water surface is not perfectly smooth, so the reflection is distorted by the waves and ripples.

It's the road where light travels all the way from the sun, reflected on the surface of the moon, and then reflected again on the ocean.

満月のバリ島で完璧なmångataを見ることができた。Mångataはスウェーデン語で水面に映る月明かりの道のようなものを指す素敵な言葉だ。月光が水面に反射・屈折することで、月に向かう道のような明るい帯が水面に現れる。海面は波によって常に揺れ動いているため、月の道は常にきらめいている。太陽の光が月面で反射し、その月光が再び水面で反射して生まれる、はるばる来た光の道だ。
