I went to the Dior exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo. In the first picture, there was a dark blue background and star-like lights from the ceiling that beautifully showed off Dior's fancy white clothes. It felt calm yet strong, and the delicate lace patterns on the white fabric stood out even more. You could imagine that they were made with a lot of care and attention to detail. Dresses like these, pure white and elegant, make me want to become a lovely woman who can wear them well. In the second picture, there were several outfits inspired by spring cherry blossoms. Putting cherry blossom branches on the head was creative, and unlike the first picture, using a white background, it still felt elegant but also showed the warmth, softness, and excitement of spring. I feel fascinated by how lighting can change the impression of things and bring out their charm.

東京現代美術館で開催されていたディオール展に行ってきた。一枚目では、紺色のバックグラウンドと天井の星のような照明がディオールの衣装の煌びやかな白色を上品に体現していた。穏やかだが凛とした雰囲気を感じさせ、白い精巧なレース模様が一層引き立って見える。隅々までこだわりを持って丁寧に作り上げられたのが想像できる。このように純白で上品さを兼ね備えたドレスが似合う素敵な女性になりたいものである。2枚目は、春の桜をモチーフとした衣装がいくつか並んでいる。頭に桜の枝を乗せているのは斬新だが、一枚目とは対照的に白をバックグラウンドとしているため、上品な雰囲気は出しつつも、春の暖かさや柔らかさ、そしてワクワクした気持ちをより表現しているように思われる。このように、照明がものの印象を変え、魅力を引き出す作用があることに興味深く感じる。
