“Afternoon light retreat on the riverside”

I escaped into a riverside cafe from the scorching sun. It was late afternoon. The low-angle afternoon sun dyed the apricot-colored curtains a slightly orange-red hue. Bathed in the afternoon sun, the eave's decoration appeared as a silhouette on the red curtains. In the background, there were glimmers scattered on the surface of the Chao Phraya River, a subdued reflected light from the cool mortar floor, and a cooled down body from the cold lemongrass tea, making everything feel calm and peaceful.

灼熱の太陽から川沿いのカフェでに逃げ込んだ。遅い午後だった。浅い角度で入ってくる西陽が、朱色の日除け用のカーテンをオレンジがかった赤色に染める。そのカーテンには軒の装飾がシルエットになって現れた。背景には、チャオプラヤ川の水面で散らつく煌めきと、ひんやりとしたモルタル床の鈍い反射光、冷えたレモングラスティーで熱った体は落ち着いた。
